The 1/2"-dia. tubes have just the right amount of flex and support, and can be purchased at any local hardware store. Even though the tubing is light, there is no danger of this chair blowing away in the wind. It has a heavy, solid frame that will withstand strong gusts of wind and fearsome summer showers. The materials for this project are inexpensive. All the parts except the seat support are made from 2 × 4 cedar. The seat support is made from 1 × 3 cedar.
