Great for around the house

I really enjoy this unit. The ability to plug straight into the wall is a major bonus. we use it for hanging pictures, and other light duty applications. We are not trying to build a house with it, or screw in 3 in galvanized screws, that's ridiculous. It is a fantastic tool to have around the house for small projects.

Pros: we leave it plugged in our laundry room. It has an auto charging shutoff feature, so it doesn't take more juice than it needs (that protects the battery from early wear). So it is always charged when I need it. The best part is, I don't have another charger to lose.

Cons: I wish it had a slot where you can keep an extra bit. having to search for the flat bit when I switch over is a pain.

Gutless wonder, can't drive a screw into a piece of wood.

2.4 Volts should have been a clue I guess. 2 AAA batteries have 2.4 volts. Sufficient for taking screws out of a computer housing, or screwing into plasterboard to hang a picture, but no power to drive a screw into a piece of wood and dead after one try.

Pros: Price was good, and convenience to recharge in any plug in, but I expected too much from it; power wise. I bought a 120V DR260 Black & Decker drill, that more suited my purposes.

Cons: Not enough power.

Useless after 90 days

90 Days after buying, either the battery no longer holds a charge or the motor is fried. Either way, it doesn't work. It's a huge pain and not customer friendly to figure out the warranty replacement either. Black and Decker fails miserably in this area.

Pros: Works well if it works.

Cons: Doesn't work.

It only works in reverse!

We only used it a little bit but now the switch is worn and the screwdriver only works in reverse. I believe it is because of cheap parts!

Pros: It was good while it worked.

Cons: The fact that it doesn't work.
