Not a bad tool for home projects! Not a every day tool for business use!

I having had the drill long but I did use it for drilling out holes for a fence post to install braces between post at the corners for my horses, it did a great job went right though the post with out any problems 3 1/2 inches wide (4x8 PT post) I just hope it last a few years, last cordless B&D drill lasted about me 5 years! So if it does that I'll be happy!

Pros: Cordless! NO dragging out the power cord!

Cons: NONE ITS SEEMS TO BE A GOOD DRILL!

Mediocre Consumer grade drill

Only bought this product because it was on sale and didn't think I needed a high end product for the occasional home project. Overall the product is average. High torque and consistant power for most easy jobs. Was drilling threw a 12" fence post to hang a gate and it was having a hard time boring the hole out. Batteries seem to hold their charge for the first year, but now seem to be going down. That may account for the mediocre performance on the fencing project. The charger just inexplicably died. Read a review for a similar 18V drill that did the same. Drill bits that come with the product are low-grade. Half of them have broken doing various household projects. They spin VERY easily in the chuck no matter how much you try to tighten them in. Other drill bits by Irwin do not seem to have this problem. Philips head bit fractured installing screws into wood, had to replace. Drill is very heavy, but probably typical of Ni-Cd powertools. Case is rugged and useful.

Pros: Hi-torque Consistant power for most jobs 2-batteries Useful and durable case

Cons: Charger died a in 17 months Very heavy Drill bits are low quality (break easily, spin in the chuck) Screw-driver bits are low quality (philips fracture while installing screws)
