In with the new!

I have never liked (or disliked) a product enough to review it - until now!
This replaced my old green Hedgehog of 15 years and it better last at least ten. Loved old one but love this one more.
I use it for hedges but for so much more: stripping downed branches before cutting them for the garbage pile, makes mincemeat of those small branches so I can fit them all in to my can each week, and my favorite -trimming the low lying tree branches with ease - hot knife through butter.
I didn't think much of the rotating handle until I realized how critical it was for trimming tree branches-allows for your best "angle" up to 9-foot from the ground. I use it in the fully cocked position since it allows me to hold the base of the handle without accidentally hitting the trigger while in lock-in-on mode and make confident cuts up in the tree.
Speaking of the lock-in-on feature: NEVER buy a trimmer without it. Just be careful since this it so convenient and you will get complacent as you are killing a huge pile of branches and you are manually feeding them into the blades (sort of like a tree chipper)
This trimmer is a must if you live in the South where everything grows nonstop in the summer. If it grows and it's less than 3/4", then you cut it with this.
Lastly, they MUCH improved the cord holder on this device. The old one was such junk it was actually a detriment - the cord used to come out regularly. They must have actually tested it themselves or got so much feedback that they couldn't ignore.
Don't know why B&D dropped theHedgehog tag -after so many years of being matched with quality?
Bottom line: don't think - just buy it. You WILL be happy and you will find many uses beyond just the hedges.

Pros: Big 3/4 inch cut, locks in on position, rotating handle

Cons: None yet

VERY DISAPPOINTED

EVEN THOUGH I WAS DISAPPOINTED, I BOUGHT ANOTHER ON 5/20/2015
I HOPE THIS ONE LASTS LONGER.
I HAVE A 13" AND 16" BLACK AND DECKER,,,BOUGHT IN 1993 AND 1997 STILL WORKING..
WISH ME LUCK,, WITH THIS ONE,, IM 71,, NOW,,,AND I DONT HAVE MANY MORE YEARS LEFT TO TRIM HEDGES.

Pros: HAS A 24" REACH AND LIGHT ENOUGH FOR ME TO USE AT 71 YRS OLD...

Cons: LASTED FROM OCT.2011 TO MAY OF 2015,, ONLY 3 SEASONS OF TRIMMING
