So, what 5 positions are there? Apart from the five user positions of idiot, moron, retard, fool and dummy, I mean? I tried each and every combination of those two knobs and neither made the slightest difference to the blade. The two handles pivot around a rivet - no twisting is possible. The blade is activated by pulling a rod - no twisting is possible. The blade is returned using a spring at the pivot - no change in torque is possible. Nor do either of the knobs limit the travel of the handle. I examined the card/plastic it came in - no info or instructions of any kind - except that it's a 5-position shears. I looked up the product on line - no info or instructions of any kind - except that it's a 5-position shears. So, what 5 positions are there? My answer: None. It's another STUPID marketing gimmick. It looks like a good pair of shears, but let's drop the "5-position" crap, B&D, you're just pissing people off.
    Pros:

    . . . . . . .

    Cons:

A "feature" that is either no feature or is not described by B&D so the purchasers can use them. I am technically literate and proficient, usually get by without manuals, but those two knobs - which I assume we are paying extra for - DO NOTHING.
