Had this mower for less than 5 months and the battery died. Tried talking with customer support at Home Depot and got nowhere. I can't believe that I gave up a perfectly good gas lawn mower for this.
    Pros:

    Nothing

    Cons:

    Battery dies, heavy, doesn't work.

    Very good mower overall

I've had this mower since the summer of 2011, and it is still working very well. I always use the mulch setting, so I can't speak to how it bags. I also rarely use the self-propelled function, although when I've pushed the bar before it does seem to go pretty fast. It does cut grass well, even though I could be more proactive about sharpening the blade (I've only done it once since I purchased the mower 2 summers ago); it does a good job regardless. The battery life is good overall, but sometimes if I let the grass grow too tall, I have to cut 3/4 of it and then finish the rest the next day. Overall though, it beats having to deal with gas and tune ups and all the mess of a gas mower.
    Pros:

relatively quiet, no gas, no tune ups, cuts well, good battery life,

    Cons:

it's a bit heavy, battery life could always be longer.

This is the best thing since sliced bread

I have been fighting gas mowers for over 30 years and it seemed like every time I looked up I had to take it in for repair which was rarely less than $100.00 not to mention the hassel of loading it up. I researched this purchase for about a year before I took the plunge and bought this last March. I have used it about 15 times now and I'm presently having to mow my St. Augustine grass every week. My back yard alone is about 7,000 sq ft and I live on a lake so it gets plenty of water and the grass is very thick. I love this machine. I want my children to get one.
    Pros:

No gasoline. Self propelled. Always starts. Easy to use. Mulches grass well. Easy to set the blade height. No gasoline fumes in my storage room. Easy assembly out of the box. Holds about a one hour charge with the self propelled engaged.

    Cons:

It does not discharge thick grass well, but it does mulch it well

Well designed, self propelled , battery operated mower for men.

This mower is what I have been waiting for so my wife can cut the lawn. It generally works well. The mower is to heavy due to the lead acid battery. Also the self propelled feature slowest speed is to fast.
    Pros:

    1. self propelled 2. battery operated 3. single point height adjustment

    Cons:

    1. battery is to heavy 2. the slowest speed of the self propelled feature is to fast. 3. Due to it's weight the wheels tramp the grass down leaving the grass behind the wheels laying down even when I overlap the tramped down grass

    Very disappointing

Mower lacks power. Stalls out if the grass is tall enough to need mowing or is just the slightest bit wet. The battery life is very short, especially if one uses it in self-propelled mode.
    Pros:

    It is quiet.

    Cons:

Lack of power; low battery life

Impressive performance, especially in mulching mode.

I hate cords. I also hate spilling gas and sucking in the fumes from gas mowers. I didn't know if a battery-operated lawn mower would suffice, but I'm very happy...so far.
    Pros:

Great mulching. I mistakenly thought I was bagging my grass the first time I mowed. I was on the highest setting and I kept waiting for the engine to die as the bag filled. The engine never died. I was bemused as to why the bag was empty and then I noticed that the mulch setting was on. The grass particles were so small that I didn't notice. No residue on my shoes, like with the gas mower I am accustomed to using. Also, the mower is a lot quieter and kicks up less dust than the gas mower. I'm impressed with how well the battery keeps its charge. I have a small front and back yard, so it's a relief to know that I won't be running out of juice midway through mowing.

    Cons:

Tends to leave tufts of grass because the wheels mat the grass down. Finding that I have to make more passes with the mower than I would have with the gas one. Not sold on the self-propelled function. I don't have many long straightaways to do. My wife might appreciate the feature if she ever has to do the lawn.

This is a horrible piece of garbage. I purchased it & when I got it home it wouldn't run. Charged for 24 hours - still won't run (battery dead). Attempt to get warranty replacement of battery - they are indefinate backorder - apparently lots of other folks are having the same problem. Contact Black & Decker customer service - they reply to my tweet asking me to DM - I do that & get ignored. STAY AWAY
    Pros:

It looks really pretty. It is also really light without the battery installed.

    Cons:

    It doesn't cut grass.

One of the better electric lawn mowers on the market

I bought this product since most of the reviews were very positive. Some people complain that it's heavy, but I don't think they know about the variable speed self drive system that comes with it. I was debating on purchasing the B & D or a GreenWorks. The salesperson said he has a customer that loves his GreenWorks but had to replace the battery 3 times! So I chose the B & D since no one complained about the battery. The battery comes charged. I was able to mow the front yard on Friday and the back yard on Saturday, and have plenty of charge left. I don't have much lawn but enough to save myself money from paying a gardner. The lawn was damp but I was able to cut through with no problem. I like electric vs. gas. No pulling a cord- it starts and stops when you want it to. Very safe. I highly recommend this product. Yes, it's heavier than some of the others on the market but is very dependable.
    Pros:

Keeps a great charge on the battery. Bullet proof design. Safety in mind when designing the product.

    Cons:

Heavy, but again you can make up for this if you use the variable speed self drive system.

Love the idea of electric, but not sure if I like it yet.

I don't know why they have it go so fast. If it would go slower it would do alot better job in mowing.
    Pros:

That it is electric. No hassle. Just unplugg from the charger and go.

    Cons:

Mows way to fast for the lack of power it has. Battery doesn't last long enough. In less then 25 minutes I was already down to last bar.

Overall the mower seems well built to do the job. But it is heavy. It mulches well.

It cuts grass well but is a little hard to manuver due to it's length. The blade cuts too far back frome the front.
    Pros:

Well built. Non-steel housing. Good battery life. Does the job well. I highly recommend this product

    Cons:

The speed control on the TURDLE setting is too fast, especially if mulching. A HI/LOW switch that would cut the factory speed in half would be a step towards perfection. Rear cutting discharge clogs as the rear deflector blockd the discharge path. A poor design.
