    I am very impreessed
I don't really have anything to compare it to this is the first chain saw I have ever used but I am very impressed with it's abilities. The bar is made of plastic but that doesn't seem to be an issue. I have used it several times without any issues. I do believe the people that have had a problem with the chain falling off just need to tighten it, I don't see how it could fall off if it is tight. It cuts great, the only thing is the battery doesn't last very long but that is kinda a battery tool thing.

    Cuts awesome

    Battery life could be better.

    So far so good
I used this product to trim a lot and I do mean a lot of trees in my yard....worked great. I have multiple Black and Decker power tools, weed eater, skill saw, drill, vacuum, and a hedge trimmer.... and they all have worked great for me. I would recommend this product, because i trust it 100%.

Light weight, easy to operate, gets that tough job done fast. Battery can be used in all 18v Black and Decker cordless tools.

None that I have found. Just wish I had more trees to trim...it was that easy and reliable!

    Do Not Purchase
Have had my 18v Cordless Pole Pruning Saw for less than a year and have used it twice MAYBE three times. Had an issue with trying to use it again and it appeared that the batteries are dead. Sent an email to Black and Decker and quickly received a response with a location to take the batteries. So, today took both batteries and the charger to the local service location. The service technician basically laughed and then checked the charger with a volt meter and then disappeared into the back of the shop for about 20 minutes. Re-appearing he had two batteries and explained that this is a very common problem. Not only were both batteries bad the charger was also. Was there anything I could do to prevent this from happening and he told me “no”. People don’t use the trimmers enough so the batteries fail. He didn’t explain why the charger failed but I had enough information to know not to purchase another Black and Decker rechargeable tool Never again. About an hour later I spent over $700 on two milwaukee re-chargeable tools. Oh well. Your stuff doesn’t hold up I’ve got to go where I can count on it!!!!! Based on my experience and the honest feedback from an expert, Do not purchase the 18v Cordless Pole Pruning Saw from any source.

When it worked it was nice.

Only used it twice and then it didn't work any more and had to replace both batteries and the charger. Didn't even have the charger in stock so now I have to wait until it shows up in the mail from the factory.

    Works Great!
I had some very high branches that were interfering with my internet. Even with the extension they were hard to reach but once I put the saw to the branches they came off really quick. It's an incredibly handy tool.

It cut through branches with ease. It's simple to use. It takes a bit of strength to use the extension but considering the length it's not that bad. The price is right too.

none that I can think of

Cut and trimmed my palm trees and several dead and live bushes down to the ground on the first charge while trying to run it down, couldn't run down the battery.

    Cuts as advertised, long reach.

Takes a while to charge the battery.

It cut through limbs with ease.

    Easy to use.

Even though the pole saw is fairly light. My arms tires at the 14ft length. using this would be easier and safer with a harness like some gas pole saws have.

    Great saw for light work
Works as advertised - it is not a tool for professional lumberjacks - but a great, inexpensive saw for limbs and small trees around the house

Battery runs out about the same time I do

Because the motor is at the end of the tool fully extended it is a bit hard to handle - and it would be nice if it were designed to be both a small chain saw and a pole chain saw - it would be extremely simple to do and it would be much more versatile

    Mission Accomplished
I had very a very tall tree hitting the side of the house with its branches, and the only way to reach them was to lean out of the second floor window. Because this battery powered, there was no issue running a saw inside the house. The chain was very sharp and had no problems cutting through 1 to 2 inch limbs. The saw breaks apart into three pieces and even comes with a very nice storage/carrying bag.

Ease of use. Zero fumes if you ever need to use it inside the house, and cordless.

When fully extended, it was a tad bit top heavy. Some strength will need to exerted when using the saw that way.

Worked as promised, easy to use, fast completion
After researching this product against competitors online, bought it Friday after work, used it Friday evening after easy assembly, completed the work quickly, and disassembled for easy storage before dusk. Had company over Sunday, couldn't tell enough people about this product, offering it to them for their projects. Wish I had more trees to cut!

Ease of assembly, use and maintenance.

    No complaints.
