First time with electric trimmer..def not a gas trimmer
Good thing this comes with 2 batteries. Drained both of them trying to edge my front and back yards. About a 15-20 min job it used both batteries. Moved over from using a gas trimmer to this electric one. Much less powerful and harder to edge due to its lack of power vs gas. Maybe all electrics are like this, I'm not sure, but I think I made a mistake moving to electric.

No cord or gas to worry about

Batteries lasted about 10 minutes each. Very disappointing. Also not a very strong trimmer.

    Worth the investment
I bought it last year and used it through the summer and fall. When I took it out this year it wouldn't work. Batteries were charged and it would start, but it wouldn't keep running. I took it to the local service center and they sent me a brand new one. The charger is different, but other than that, it's the same tool. No problems now and I still love the way it works.

Good product with very good warranty.

    Good light weight trimmer
Trimmer/edger works fine for the light use I give it around the house.

Works well and uses same 20V Lithium Bat. as other B&D tools I own.

    No complaints.

Great value, works perfect for my needs.
Bought this as a combo pack with the blower. Both work great for trimming and blowing grass off sidewalks. I have other Lithium tools so have extra batteries if needed. My only complaint would be that it goes thru trim line a lot faster than my old trimmer.

Ease of use, light weight, cordless.

    Goes thru string too fast.

Well designed, comfortable to handle, excellent performance
I have used this trimmer several times in the past 3 or 4 months. I am very satisfied with it's quality and value vs. cost. The automatic line advance is a welcome feature and it too works flawlessly. I have seen several reviews complaining about the short run time per battery. I have to laugh at those peoples complaints. It is not a car battery. What do they expect. I have a .33 acre lot and I completely trim around trees, bushes and along fences in my yard using the power from less than two charged batteries that came with the trimmer. Then, recharge and your ready for the next time you need to trim. Sounds good to me. A definite recommendation to my friends and other family members.

Great design, Comfortable to handle. Very good handling adjustments. Sturdy construction. Quality vs. cost is very good.

    Best Weed Trimmer for me!!
Purchased model#lst220 at Sears about 2wks ago. Came with an extra battery. I love this. I was unable to use a gas powered one (too heavy and not reliable starting) and corded trimmers are a pain! I am a small woman and now I just drop in the battery and off I go--ZOOM,ZOOM! I hope this lasts a long time. So far I have cut pretty thick weeds and no problem. I will enjoy weed eating, I think, now.

It is lightweight enough for a small woman and easy to operate. Just attach the battery and off you go! No gas/oil mess and no cords. It does a very good job for my needs around the house.

This is so good I got rid of my corded one!!!
I got it mainly for trimming alongside the fence where cordless unit comes in so handy. It not only does a great job trimming against the wood fence but does a fantastic job with edging along the driveway and sidewalks.

Switching between trimming and edging mode is a snap. I can do the entire trimming/edging job around the house and still have battery to do more. Just a one strand of string and yet highly effective. I love the auto-feed feature; no need to keep tapping the head on the ground.

The wire guide you slip out when you switch to the edging mode doesn't always stay in place. It keeps sliding back in and the spinning head starts to touch the pavement. I wish there was positive lock positions for the guide.

I bought this in a store and Iam 67 years old and was so in love with it till the battery lasted 15 minutes.
It is light and easy to run that is what I love about it

light and threads easy when string is needed

I got two batteries and after 15 minutes I have to put it on the charger and go to the second one. On both batteries it takes at least 12 hours to recharge. I have learned how to rotate them but it sure takes a long time. I looked to get a extra battery but Iam not sure if I want to pay that much for just a battery. It is not that far off from what I purchased it in the start.

Wish I could return - battery life is awful
The weight of it is great and I really like the spool fed, but it doesn't matter because I can't use it long enough to get anything of consequence done. The battery last sonly 20 minutes and it is so frustrating to just get going and have to stop. Very disappointed!!!

    The weight and line feed.

The battery - it is awful!!! I got online to buy a couple of extra batteries and it would cost me $100. I can get a new weedeater for that amount of money!
