    good machine poor bag

high performance blower vac/mulcher. worked well but the bag has a lot of room for improvement. Had a lot of leaves to do, was able to blow them into piles and vacume to dispose. everything went pretty well, it was the first real wlove orkout I've given it hears my thoughts: Love the power! moves all leaves even in fairly long grass. love the vac. had no problem sucking up leaves even damp ones. filled the bag in less than 3 minutes. Hate the reusable bag, the material is cheap. I can tell it won't last, shredded leaves gets stuck to it and the material is already starting to fray at the bottom where the slide bar goes on which I also dislike. It's hard to dump the bag into the large paper lawn waste bags we are required to use and your disposable bags are too small and way to expensive! also the strap on the bag is a total waste, no pad and too narrow makes it too cumbersome to properly use.
    Pros:

blower has great power, fairly easy to configure, and vac works great

    Cons:

use a good quality canvas bag like a mower bag. make the bag longer and narrower so it fits into leaf bags better and put a better more useful strap on it, get rid of the bar on the bottom of the bag, you could use a flap that snaps over the bottom instead. I do like the machine but I spent more time putting the mulched leaves into paper leaf bags than vacuuming the leaves.

    Update: more impressed now

Good ergonomics, good suction, works well connected to trash can with BV-006 optional attachment.
    Pros:

As noted in my original review, the ergonomics are good, and (now that I'm using it right) the BV-006 direct-to-can collection system works very well. When you open the BV-006 package, pull the hose all the way out and shake it - it comes with two adapters (one for the BV4xxx and one for the BV6xxx) and the can-topping cloth is tucked inside the hose. Hint: when (re)connecting the uptake pipe to the power head, stand the pipe upright and touching the ground, then gently push down on the power head until you hear the click. Unlike the BV4000, you (or at least I) can't do it by holding one item in each hand and pushing them together.

    Cons:

Because of the location of the power switch and the "soft detents", it's easy to turn the switch when you pick up the unit. All blower-vacs have centrifugal fans, with a rotor and a cavity. Dry leaves move through the cavity to the outlet pipe, but wet ones tend to adhere to the cavity and build up, blocking it. The BV4xxx power head did not include the cavity, so it was really easy to clean out when this happened. The BV6xxx integrates the rotor and cavity, and so it's a real pain to clean out. So don't suck up wet material.

    Mixed impressions

Relative to the BV4000, the ergonomics are much better. But it needs something analogous to the BV006 hose-and-cloth system to send the leaves directly to a trash can.
    Pros:

The "wide stance" between the handles makes it much easier to handle.

    Cons:

The on/off switch needs firmer detents - can turn it on inadvertently. Just as susceptible to clogging with wet leaves - but with the blade and blower cavity integrated (as opposed to the BV4000 where they were separate), it's much harder to clean out. And the attachment of the collection pipe to the power head is not very robust - gives the impression that it will break easily.
