For my wedding anniversary which was given to me in late May of 1978, my dear Aunt who has passed gave me my first DUSTBUSTER for my shower gift. I got other gifts but lets say the DUSTBUSTER was the best. In June 1978 we married and boy did I put that DUSTBUSTER to test. I used it for spot cleaning, when I new someone was coming over. I today still buy nothing but a DUSTBUSTER and Black & Decker products. I have 2 of them and they still work well. After getting that DUSTBUSTER as my wedding gift I always bought Black & Decker products, the coffee pot, iron, under counter oven, and the under counter can opener. Thanks Black & Decker for making the DUSTBUSTER. It is still my best friend.

At our house I do the repairs and my husband cooks. We both fight over the DUSTBUSTER - he manages to get flour all over the kitchen and needed the DUSTBUSTER at the same time I needed it to clean up my mess. It wasn't ladies first!

Several years ago Denver was infested by a hoard of gypsy moths. Nothing seemed to work to get rid of them. . . . . until someone discovered that the DUSTBUSTER also worked VERY effectively at ridding the air of the pesky beasts! After having tried MANY different solutions, I tried this and found it very effective and permanent! Ever since, I have enjoyed finding new ways of using my DUSTBUSTER that aren't in the directions! ;-)

I received a DUSTBUSTER in 1980 as a house warming gift. At the time I was a cub scout leader and responsible for cleaning after the meetings. The vacuum was invaluable for cleaning saw dust and glitter after our meetings.

Our DUSTBUSTER moment really started as a joke. We didn't know then just how handy and used it would be. My Dad was notoriously sloppy, especially at the dinner table. I bought my Mom a DUSTBUSTER for Mother's Day. As we were visiting her, my Dad was eating a cookie that my sister baked for my Mom for Mothers Day. He was getting crumbs all over the front of him, like usual. My Mom grabbed her new DUSTBUSTER and walked over to my Dad and vacuumed his chest of the crumbs. We all laughed, including my Dad to the point I thought he was going to choke to death! After that day, we alaways asked Mom if she had vacuumed Dad yet, after eating. What started as a joke soon ended up as a must-have. Until their deaths, you would call up to talk to them and often hear the DUSTBUSTER running in the background.

My favorite DUSTBUSTER moment was in 1986. I had just started getting into making beaded jewelry and I spilled my tiny seed beads. I was so upset and thought I would never get them up. IDEA! I cleaned my DUSTBUSTER real good and used it to vacuum up my beads and then right onto my bead tray they went. I have used DUSTBUSTERs since. Thank you.

We still have the first DUSTBUSTER that was purchased when it first came out in the 1970s. It is still working. It is used for all small pickups. Yesterday when my daughter heard it was your 30th anniversary she called to say mine was 30 years old and I should let you know it is still working.

The DUSTBUSTER is one of the most efficient tools for cleaning. I can run through the house instead of pulling out the vacuum within minutes of guests arriving for a unplanned party. But my memorable moment is using it to clean the ashes outside of a floor to wall fireplace. Just a quick clean job that looks like it would have taken hours.
