Most furniture sold in stores does not fit well in a corner. But due to its triangular shape and efficient design, a built-in corner cabinet fits naturally into any room corner.
The corner cabinet featured here includes side panels that make the cabinet deeper. Installed at a right angle to the wall, the side panels also create a good surface for attaching a built-in bookcase.
The corner cabinet as shown was created using dimensions and angles that fit almost any corner, and allow for many uses. For this reason, altering the design is unnecessary and not recommended.
Most tasks in the corner cabinet project can be done with everyday tools, but the long bevel cuts needed for the face frame and side panels are best done with a table saw. If you do not own a table saw, either rent one, or have the cuts made at a woodworking shop.
Due to its size and weight, a corner cabinet should be assembled on-site.
